Well, we made it to fifteen weeks! On Saturday we’ll be four months along! It’s hard to believe that we told everyone only a month ago.
My second trimester is in full swing and with it comes the absence of nausea, an increased appetite, and snug fitting clothes. I didn’t really realize how crummy I felt during my first trimester, until I didn’t feel crummy anymore. And I’m ecstatic that I don’t feel crummy anymore!
It’s a new sensation for me to wake up and instantly feel hungry. I used to be one of those people who could go until noon without eating anything…not anymore! One of the first things I want to do in the morning is eat breakfast! I’m fortunate that breakfast foods are among my favorites. My appetite has increased noticably, so that means baby is growing!
And it’s showing!
My baby bump has started attracting attention from coworkers and friends. It’s fun to finally have some visual proof of my pregnancy. The baby seems to be growing quite quickly (already 4.5 inches long!) so I’m sure it won’t be long before even strangers know I’m pregnant! It might be strange for me to feel that way…but oh well. I’m excited and I’m holding on to that excitement!
We haven’t heard anything back regarding the first trimester screening from two weeks ago, so that is good news. Our next doctor’s appointment is next week, and we’ll get a full rundown of the test results at that time.
I had a very lovely birthday yesterday with wishes from all my wonderful family and friends! Dinner with Matt was amazing and he did a fantastic job of pampering his wife all day yesterday. Truly a birthday to remember.
We’ve been snowed in for about a week now, but are excited that warmer weather (38 degrees) is on the horizon! How strange is that, to call 38 degrees warm?
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
