Well I know this post is severely late…it’s already Friday night. This week was uneventful in baby-land. It was, however, quite eventful at work…which is probably why I didn’t feel very motivated to get something posted here.
Anyhow last weekend was a blast. Matt and I made two major additions to our bedroom—artwork and a TV. We’ve been slowly decorating our master bedroom for two-and-a-half years now and it’s finally starting to get to that end-in-sight place.
I love the artwork we found to hang on the wall above our headboard. It’s a photo of a snow-covered forrest in the Netherlands. The way the snow is stuck vertically to the trees was the most perfect visual effect. We instantly fell in love with it. Thanks to IKEA, Photoshop, Costco and the photographer that I ripped of, this beautiful triptic was only $55. Totally worth it!! It brings a very necessary organic touch to an overly hard and modern room. And it depicts our favorite season.
Speaking of snow…Matt got up to the mountain again last weekend. That’s right, the Bauers spent superbowl Sunday on the mountain. It was a fun trip! Relatively uncrowded and we still got to watch the last 30 minutes of the game, which turned out to be the only part worth watching. It was a lovely Sunday.
This weekend, I have the exciting duty of cleaning out our second bedroom, which has been the dumping ground for all the crap we don’t know what to do with. It’s a big undertaking, but I’m up for the challenge. We’re hoping to find some room for baby stuff in there somewhere….wish me luck!
