I know I said I wouldn’t be buying any more baby clothes until after any/all showers…but I couldn’t resist!!!
This weekend Matt and I joined my parents, sister and her boyfriend in Sunriver, Oregon. Sunriver is a cute little resort town 15 minutes south of Bend. It’s hot in the summer and COLD in the winter. March isn’t exactly winter…but it didn’t get warmer than 34 degrees while we were there, and it was snowing for most of the time.
Anyhow…Bend has a little outlet mall that includes a Carters, and this particular weekend they were having a 50% off sale on baby clothes! I could have bought everything in the store…it was all so adorable!!! I was good though…and my mom was supportive…and I left with only two items. So now little baby Bauer has two additional outfits for her first summer; an adorable dress with a matching diaper cover, and a one piece with adorable puffy legs. Each of these items is made even cuter by the critter embroidered on the butt! Oh my gosh, I can’t wait until there is a little person with little diapers to put in these outfits!
Speaking of our little person…she has been so active over the last few days! Last night, for the first time in my pregnancy, I was woken up by little kicks and squirms. 4:30 in the morning, and our lovely daughter was doing aerobics in my uterus. I guess this is all preparing me for parenthood, when waking up at 4:30 may be our daily routine. Still…does it have to start so soon?
I’m trying to remember to enjoy the little things I take for granted now…like how easy it is for me to just get in the car and go somewhere, or cooking for two or the guaranteed eight hours of solid sleep I get each night. Only three-and-a-half more months of these simpler times…we can hardly wait!!!
