I don’t have it in me for a full blog entry tonight, but I wanted to give you the highlights of the last few days…
Monday – pressure check with third doctor. Her eye pressure has increased.
Tuesday – appointment with fourth doctor. This doctor is pretty fabulous and wants to move swiftly to take care of Adelaide’s eye. She wanted to see us the following Monday for an exam under anesthesia (EUA) and possible surgery. Also prescribed Adelaide’s third set of eye drops.
Wednesday – administered new eye drops – no side effects. YAY!!!
Thursday – Got a call from the doctor asking if we can come in Friday (tomorrow) for the EUA and possible goniotomy. We said, “Sure!” and that’s the plan.
So tomorrow, we’re going in for Adelaide’s first (of many) EUA’s and possible (probable) goniotomy. Her procedure starts at 1, and should last about an hour-and-a-half. We’ll try to update everyone as soon as we know the outcome.
Matt’s parents are coming up to help and support us, and my sister, Dana will be with us during the procedure also. It is so very comforting to have family around during this time, we can’t even express our appreciation.
Stay tuned for a better entry with more details, this is all I can get written tonight.
