We are having the strangest summer this year in Portland. Every morning for the past two weeks has been overcast and cold, followed by sunshine and 70+ weather around noon or so. I remember these types of summers growing up in the Bay Area, but not from the Northwest.
Well today, the clouds burned off earlier than usual, so right after lunch, Adelaide and I headed to our backyard for some good ol’ fashioned kiddie pool time!
This is how I spent a good portion of my afternoon:
Adelaide really enjoyed the freedom of the pool (versus the bathtub) because she could get in and out, STAND UP if she felt like it, and just play as much or as little as she wanted.
I tried to keep her precious, pure baby skin as out of the sun as possible, but she’s not a huge fan of her hat…
Oh well, so much for the hat.
Adelaide had fun playing in the pool form outside of the pool:
And from inside the pool:
She also took some time to kick mommy out of her chair.
We had a great day :o)
