A gal I used to work with introduced me to these giant consignment sales that happen every couple of months. I’ve been too busy or too intimidated to attend one…until today.
Today’s consignment sale was put on by Just Between Friends, who organizes consignment sales across the country. Adelaide and I got up and moving early this morning and made our way out to the Portland Expo center. We got there 30 minutes after it started, so we got great parking and it was nice to shop without crazy crowds.
I had a list of things I was hoping to find, and was unsuccessful at finding any of it. Bummer. I did however find a great pair of PJs ($6) and a snow suit ($18) for Adelaide. Yay! I was so excited to get such a great deal on a snow suit!
I’m not sure giant consignment sales are for me. I’m just not the competitive shopping type, and believe me, you have to be aggressive at these things! We had only been there for an hour when the population seemed to triple so I made my way to the cash registers and called it a day!
All in all, decent selection and great prices. The sale goes through tomorrow so if you’re in the neighborhood and find yourself in need of some affordable second-hand baby/kid/mom stuff, you should check it out!
