We had our anatomy ultrasound yesterday and…
IT’S A GIRL!!
There you go. Girl parts, clear as day! She was a VERY cooperative little girl during the ultrasound yesterday morning. Both the technician and the doctor commented over and over that our little girl was making their job very easy.
Matt couldn’t be at the ultrasound appointment with me because both he and Adelaide (and I) have horrible head colds. Instead of dropping our sick two-year-old off at a friend’s house, and having Matt sniffle and blow his nose through the whole appointment, we decided it would be best for everyone involved if I went the appointment by myself. I was a little lonely, without someone to talk to, but the tech was very friendly!
Since Matt wasn’t there, I had my phone in hand, feverishly texting him the whole time.
We were excited to learn the gender of our little peanut, but more than that we were eager to “see” the umbilical cord again. When the technician started looking in the baby’s abdomen, specifically at the bladder (the umbilical cord vessels split and go around the bladder), I asked if it looked like a two vessel or three vessel cord. She said, “It looks like a normal three vessel cord to me!”
THREE VESSEL CORD!!!!
I was so excited when she said that it looked completely normal to her that I clapped and yelled “woo hoo!!!!” haha! Eight weeks of worrying over a mis-diagnosis. THANK GOODNESS!!! I immediately texted the news to Matt and he was overjoyed. So ya, yesterday was a really good day.
It was so much fun seeing our little girl on the screen. She looked like Skeletor most of the time, though, because she insisted on having her hands up next to her face, so every time we tried to get a look at her little face all we could see were hand bones. LOL! Oh well, I’ll get to see her sweet little face in only four more months!!!
Here are some more ultrasound photos:
Yay for healthy babies!!!
