At my midwife appointment this week I had two more people confirm that this little girl is head down (still my biggest source of anxiety). Both the midwife, and her student felt my belly, commented on how there was “nothing but baby” in my giant mid-section and then confirmed that she was head down.
Then the midwife went a step further and got their portable ultrasound unit to do a quick ultrasound to confirm, again, that they were feeling a head down there and not something else. I was suuuuper happy to hear that she was head down, and it was pretty awesome getting a peek at her too. I’ve never seen a baby this big on an ultrasound before! (She totally has Matt’s nose!)
Both Matt and I are ready for this little girl to make her debut. It’s pretty amazing how much more calm and confident we are going into the birth of our second child, than we were before the birth of our first. Hopefully we’re not greeted with any surprises!
I didn’t take any pics of myself this week, sorry! Next week, assuming I don’t go into labor before then, I’ll have some new pictures of my overwhelming belly…seriously…it’s huge…
🙂
I'd love to hear what you think!
