I am barely squeaking by with my goal (or resolution) to blog at least once a week, and therefore, I have decided to participate in the 30 day blog challenge. I’m pretty sure it’s just a bunch a writing prompts, but hey, that seems to be my problem (having something interesting to blog about). So here goes nothing!
Day 1: A photo of myself and a description of my day.
Woke up at 7:30 with the alarm, and then fell in and out of sleep until Matt got out of bed around 8, and then I was guilted out of bed. (I know 7:30 isn’t early, but we’re spoiled, alright!?)
Got my sweet Addie-bug out of her crib, changed her diaper and turned on Sesame Street for her to watch while I scrambled eggs and made toast. Hurriedly got Adelaide fed and had to pack Matt’s breakfast to-go because we were, of course, late getting out the door.
Dropped Matt off at work and Adelaide and I returned home. Adelaide finished her episode of Sesame street while I made my breakfast and tea, then we played with her toys and books until nap time.
FedEx interrupted our nap-time routine by dropping off our order from American Apparel. (LOVE THEIR STUFF!)
Got Adelaide down for her nap, and then I sat down with my laptop and watched some episodes from season one of How I Met Your Mother while updating websites and course catalogs for Insight Schools. Then moved on to sorting and shredding the pile of mail that has been accumulating all month.
Adelaide took an extra long nap which afforded me some relaxation and “zone out” time during which I decided to take her to the indoor playland when she finally woke up.
Made Adelaide and I some lunch, then drove out to Munchkin Playland.
Spent an hour at Munchkin Playland where Adelaide ran around and played with cars, trucks and plastic produce while I did additional website updating and miscellaneous projects for Insight Schools and enjoyed a hot vanilla latte. Mmmmmm!
Stopped at the post office on the way home to send a small package to Matt’s parents. (Your cable is on it’s way Nancy!)
Got home and had just enough time to cook a tasty dinner before leaving again to pick Matt up from work.
Returned home with the whole family and enjoyed said tasty dinner.
Went through our bedtime routine with Adelaide (bath, jammies, stories, bottle and bed). And now I am sitting on the couch with my hubby and a glass of wine. Ahhh….it was a good day.
Here is a photo of Adelaide (aka Super Baby) and I before we left for the playland. Sorry it’s blurry—it’s kinda tough to get a photo of me and Adelaide while I’m holding her.
