Adelaide has made great strides in the world of solid foods and inspired me to do my Stay-At-Home-Mom duty of making homemade baby food!
My first foray into the world of homemade baby food was a few weeks ago with a very ripe avocado. I first cut it up into some finger food to keep Adelaide busy while I figured out how my new Magic Bullet (thanks mom and dad!) worked. Here is Adelaide with her avocado:
In addition to pureed avocado Adelaide also enjoys these other fine products of mommy’s kitchen:
- Banana/Pear combo
- Butternut Squash
This website, www.wholesomebabyfood.com, has been my bible when it comes to choosing and preparing foods for Adelaide. So far we’ve had great experiences!
Making homemade baby food is soooo easy and CHEAP! You can get two whole bananas (two servings) for $0.42 or two Gerber packages of bananas (two servings) for $1.05. With just a little forethought I’m helping to make some serious savings in our kitchen!
