So, I’ve been absent…very absent form this blog.
Last weekend our sump pump gave up the ghost so we were in panic mode trying to keep our house from flooding. Ok, it wasn’t that bad. But we did have a solid six inches of standing water under our house. Thanks to Matt’s amazing ingenuity, after a quick trip to Lowe’s he had the water under control. The plumber came out last Tuesday and we’ve been water free for a week now!
Then just as things were settling down, Adelaide started acting up. Isn’t that always how it works!? I thought she may be coming down with a cold…but she didn’t exhibit any of her usual symptoms. Eventually, though, those symptoms reared their ugly heads.
I think I tried to wash her hands…which resulted in this over the top meltdown.
Woke up from her nap with a 101 degree fever. Poor baby!
Fever spiked to 102.6, so we spent the day on the couch.
So there you go. We saw the pediatrician this morning who checked her ears, and throat for any signs of infection—none! So, now we’re home to ride out this cold. Any suggestions for sick toddler activities??
Anywho, that’s what I’ve been up to. Sorry for the disappearance! I’ll get back to blogging again once I have two minutes without a baby in my lap!
